Mazze Restaurant – Rome

Mazze Restaurant in Rome was an excellent dining experience and a great choice for anyone looking for a traditional Roman meal away from the typical tourist-focused restaurants found throughout the city.

From the moment we arrived, the service was top notch. The staff was professional, attentive, and welcoming without constantly interrupting the meal. Everything moved at exactly the right pace, allowing us to relax, enjoy the food, and have a conversation without ever feeling rushed.

The dishes were prepared and served to perfection. The food had the quality and authenticity you hope to find when dining in Rome, with traditional flavors and careful preparation. Each dish arrived properly presented and cooked exactly as expected. This is the type of restaurant where the quality of the ingredients and preparation speaks for itself rather than relying on an elaborate presentation.

One of the things we appreciated most about Mazze was the atmosphere. It was quiet and comfortable, making it an excellent place for a relaxed dinner where you can actually enjoy a conversation with the people at your table. Rome has plenty of restaurants that can become crowded, loud, and heavily focused on tourists, but Mazze did not have that feeling at all. It felt much more like a genuine Roman dining experience.

Both indoor and outdoor seating are available, giving you the option to dine inside or enjoy the streets and atmosphere of Rome while eating outdoors.

If you are looking for a great traditional Roman meal, excellent service, properly prepared dishes, and a quieter atmosphere away from the tourist crowds, Mazze is definitely worth visiting. Enzo, Erik, and Roberto welcomed us with such genuine warmth and hospitality. The food and service were so incredible that we had to come back a second time! This restaurant is an absolute must when visiting Rome. Our only complaint is that we can’t take it home with us! Awesome, friendly, and great authentic food
Excellent. Accommodated a large group ( 10 adults and 2 small children) with style and elegance. Meals were delicious, well made and quality ingredients. Large party of 12 and everyone was satisfied and impressed. Defiantly a quality establishment with quality food that makes you feel welcome. Absolutely wonderful experience
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our first night in Rome and our very first meal could not have been more perfect. We chose to sit outside in Mazze’s charming little street-side seating area, soaking in the energy and beauty of the city, and it ended up being one of our favorite memories of the trip. Claudio and Alina took exceptional care of us from the moment we arrived. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made us feel less like tourists and more like welcomed guests. They recommended a wonderful bottle of wine that paired beautifully with our meal, elevating the entire experience. Every course was delicious, and the dessert was absolutely magnificent. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable evening. Between the incredible food, the thoughtful wine recommendation, the outstanding service, and the lovely location, we truly couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to Rome. Cena con amici iniziata bene e finita meglio! Cibo ottimo, personale gentilissimo e ottima scelta di vini!! Charming & delicious
We went in the evening and had a lovely seating on the terrasse of the restaurant. The place is relaxing and cosy, you can enjoy the atmosphere and lean back. Food and wine was delicious, service was very friendly and accommodating. We had Mozzarella di bufala and Tagliolini with black truffle as starter, followed by Saltimbocca alla Romana - everything with a great taste and perfect quality - same as the Prosecco and red wine. Dejlig mad og skønt personale
Vi fandt denne lille perle i Rom, da vi boede 5 minutter derfra. Maden er fantastisk og personalet er søde og professionelle. Vi var der 2 gange på vores 3-dages ophold. Man kan risikere at vente 10-15 minutter på bord uden for, men det er ventetiden værd. Og så får man et glas prosecco i mens man venter 😍 Vi kommer igen ved næste besøg.
